SOLIDWORKS Design & Help

Solidworks has tutorials right in the software. When I first started using Solidworks back in 1996, I was able to learn it right out the box. It is a very intuitive program.

Start with this Youtube channel, and slowly build up to do complex designs and assemblies.

Yep just as @Mike McKee is saying go over the SolidWorks tutorials, took me a weekend to switch over and forget that ACAD and Mechanical Desktop ever existed, that was in 98, back when we could legally have copy of SolidWorks installed at home ( F.. you Dassault Systèmes !!)

Beware of all the "Youtube Professors" a lot of them seems to figure out how to do something in solidworks but never used SW in real life applications and they display not the best modeling habits.

As Jack B wrote, there are many guides by people who have little to do with engineering practice. In a real machine shop, creating models looks completely different. Moreover, depending on the machine shop specifications, this modeling will differ significantly. You will get to everything with time. The most important thing is not to be afraid to experiment and practice a lot.

YouTube is the best source of learning for anything. Choose project-based training to get started.
